7. Your personal data

Before we finalise your entry, we need to explain how the data on this form will be used and to ask your consent regarding the storage, processing and sharing of your personal details.

All of the information provided on this entry form, excluding your payment details, will be stored by BWL and our IT Partner, FL1, so that we can manage your entry to the regatta. Management includes assigning your boat to the correct class, checking your eligibility for races and prizes, sending necessary materials in the post to you, contacting you prior to the event to resolve any queries regarding your entry, contacting you during the event to inform you of messages, protests and other key information.
A subset of your data will be stored on our website and made publicly available so that your fellow competitors and other visitors can see who has entered the event. This data will be limited to your boat details, the days of the regatta for which you have entered, the name which you have chosen to be publicly displayed (which may be your own name or another name) and any additional data you have provided about the Person in charge or Boat for public viewing.
The same subset of data will be made available to the media covering the event, together with the town and country in which you live, so that they can include a regional element in their reporting. The media will not be provided with further address details, and will only be given contact details where you have expressly indicated that you are happy to be interviewed.
We will use your contact details before, during and after the event to provide you with information about the regatta. You may opt out of these communications at any time, except that you may not opt-out of communications containing important safety or race management information about an event that you are currently entered for.

Nelson Cup Saturday 22nd August

Come and experience the thrill of the Lord Nelson Cup. This is a long series of races in varied locations across the Summer, whether that be Southend, Canvey, Brightlingsea or good old Burnham on Crouch.

It involves a mass start of boats in several types of rowing boats (all welcome) each desperate to come first over the 5km course and take the prestigious title.

Burnham Coastal Rowing Club will be hoping they can go one better and finally win on home soil(water).
